Grand Prix

Glide Baptist Church is hosting its annual Grand Prix on March 9th at 1pm (Registration opens at 12pm and closes at 12:30pm). We invite all to attend church at 10:30am, a potluck following church, and then the Grand Prix.

Registration opens right after church (12 pm) in our Adult Sunday School room in the Fellowship Hall (next door to where kids are signed into Kids 4 Truth).

At registration, cars will be weighed to make sure they fit within our parameters of 5oz and have no oils on the wheels or axels. If they weigh too much or not enough we will add or subtract weight to make sure they fall within the parameters.

Registration closes at 12:45pm that way we can ensure that we have enough time for judges and race set up. Races will start at 1pm in the Gym right next to the church.

Grand Prix Rules

All cars need to be built this year to compete.

Car numbers will be given to the cars on race day.

No oil, sprays, or liquid can be added to the cars or wheels because it damages the track.

The wheel distance cannot be changed.

Cars can be brought home to be built. but must come back for registration on Sunday, March 9th.

Cars will need to be no more than 5oz on our scales on Sunday, March 9th. The 5oz weight includes wheels when the car is weighted. We will have a person to remove weight from cars that weigh too much at registration.

Any Car not registered, or person not present for the race will not be able to win a prize.
