Study in Isaiah

Isaiah, a prophet of the Lord whose name means "salvation of Yahweh", prophesied from 739–681 BC to a nation that had turned a deaf ear to the Lord. The book of Isaiah provides us with the most comprehensive prophetic picture of Jesus Christ in the entire Old Testament.  Judgment runs as a theme of the first 39 chapters of Isaiah.  But the following 27 chapters are about the salvation that would come through the Messiah.  Isaiah is said to give the clearest message of the gospel in the Old Testament.
